Believe
the following boat was made from the Keaton utility mold after
the mold was sold by Keaton. The belief is that this hull/boat was not made by
Keaton.
It's shown here because the belief is the hull was made from the Keaton
designed mold
and the quality of workmanship the owner displayed in completing this boat.
If anyone has any info to refute this then please let me know
The
engine is a 350 bored .030 over with fuelie (double-hump) heads, Glenwood
exhaust,
edelbrock intake, carter afb carb
According the owner's father who purchased the hull:
"I purchased the hull in 1980 from a guy in
Sacramento that said his uncle, who had work with
Jack Keaton, had made the last two boats from the original mold. The
hull had only a prop shaft
and a paint job on it when I bought it. I custom-built whatever I could and
modeled most of it from
an original Keaton that a good friend of mine had here in Reno. I made up
the hull # in order to register it."
